💲 Techstars (Anywhere and health programmes)

Four doors matter to a Canadian health founder: Anywhere, remote-first and generalist; AI Health Baltimore, AI-driven health with Johns Hopkins and MedStar behind it; Northwestern Medicine in Chicago for access to care, AI and digital therapeutics; and Permanente Mid-Atlantic for care at home, chronic care and women's health.
Funding: $220,000 on day one: $200,000 as an uncapped MFN SAFE plus $20,000 for 5% common stock, converting at a priced round of $1M or more. Baltimore states the same $220,000.
Cost: Free to apply. The cost is 5% in common stock. · Cohorts: One annual intake each. Applications open in late August
Applications: OPEN NOW. Three doors share one deadline: 18 NOVEMBER 2026 for Anywhere (remote), AI Health Baltimore and Northwestern Medicine (Chicago), all running 8 March to 3 June 2027. Permanente Mid-Atlantic (DC/MD/VA) closed 10 June and publishes no date for its next intake.
Format: Three months, 8 March to Demo Day 3 June 2027. Anywhere remote with three offsites; Baltimore and Chicago in person
📍 virtual · outside CanadaOpen to Canadians, and which door you pick decides the travel: Anywhere is remote-first with no relocation, for North American time zones; Baltimore, Chicago and the Mid-Atlantic are in person for three months.💲 funded
The non-obvious part is that Anywhere removes the relocation problem: remote-first, no move, three offsites, which is rare for a US accelerator of this size, though its emphasis is robotics, energy and applied AI rather than health. For AI-driven health, Baltimore is the deepest bench. Quality varies by programme, so diligence the specific one rather than the Techstars name.
